View Full Version : WIP: Short Film- Patrick's Day Out

Hey everyone!
I just started this short, came up with the idea last night.
So the story starts out with a sheep named patrick quietly muching on his grass and walking. I'll put up some more stuff later, But here I have an animation of Patrick leaping along. Mostly just a test.
I drew Patrick in illustrator, and then colored him in photoshop, then put them into max as splines and meshes, then rigged him up and animated him.
So it's 2d, but animated in Max. In the end I hope to have the 2d character in a 3d environment.

I just rendered out the anim with an alpha, and composited it onto a Photoshop backplate with After Effects.

Hmm, I've got some storyboards here, but my hand drawn art is terrible.
I hope you don't mind!

By the way, I don't have a final name yet. So, if anyone has any suggestions, just post them here and I will consider them!

aw cute jumping sheep. I look foward to seeing more of this animation. The background reminds me of old school cartoons that had the same background appear again and again haha.
