I grabed this shot from a screensaver. It has the effect that I'm talking about.

I think I know what needs to be done here I just someone with better knowledge of the utillity nodes than me
I need a way to change the olor inputs on the color ramp base on the angle between the sun the point on the surface and the camera aproach 180 degrees. any ideas?

Hello RunsWithScissors, I'm not a pro in this area. But i htink using the samplerinfo facing ratio will do the trick. connect it to the UV coordinates of the Ramp, and use can another ramp for color gain.
Or you may be satisfied with connecting the samplerinfo facing ratio only to one of the UV coord or the ramp.

I know that it will in volve the Sampler info but I need a way to check to see if the lightsource is behind the camera ir not.

This is not real effect but you can fake it realy simply. Just use ramp shader and create something like that:

Then create directional light pointing almost (but not exactly) the same direction as your camera (you can controll it using expressions). Render your image and use this "mask" to create color glow effect in compositing software.
