Hello there, again!

First, let me explain my thoughts about posting this: I ALMOST posted it here yesterday, but changed my mind because of the un-original nature of the painting... I mean, CGTalk is meant for original work, I think.... right? But then I browsed through ye ole posts, and found lots of people posted drawings from photos (including me-self ;))... so there. What the heck.

(...and on top of that, the picture I post here isn't drawn on paper, while looking at a photo, like I use to, but drawn directly in Photosnot on a layer on top of the original photo. -So don't give me credit for correct dimensions 'n' stuff, because I don't deserve that! ;))

-So why "cheat" and draw like that? Because I just got my WACOM, and I'm testing my way with the brushes 'n' stuff!

Please crit all you like, I am particularly keen on suggestions regarding airbrush and line weights... -am I doing it right??

Kind regards,
- Jonas

Crit away! :wip: Let me have it! :D

Al-right, I just decided life was too easy, and that line drawing was OUT.

So now I'm gonna go full paint on this, and try to see how photoreal I can go... ARG! I'm already regretting... :wip:

BTW, thanks for the crit, Leaters!! I think I've resolved the stomach issues now. -I think part of the problem was that it looked weird with the black line around...

Tonight's update... I hate the airbrush on the lower part of her pants... :hmm: also, the pants need a more yellow teint.

Crits away! :D

the stomach still looks flat ( i don't know if you've fixed it sence the last comment) go from the image, but paint it from your mind too (the picture is flat, in your mind her stomach should be rounder)

I like the first image. I think its done. Cool contrast with the linework and the rendered areas.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the replies - here comes the latest update.

The only thing missing now is the background... AND... that darn belly. I haven't touched the belly since last update, but trust me, I've been listening to everything you've been saying, but I've stared myself blind looking at those airbrush strokes. <- (that's a Stevie Wonder smiley...)

-You know what my always supportive girlfriend said when she saw it? "It looks like she did a poor job rubbing fake teint lotion on her belly...... and then it rubbed off on her pants" :hmm:

Anyway, her it is - ANY advice on how to fix her belly will be MUCH appreciated!! :)

Cheers,
- jonas

Very good job with the shirt! I like it.
Though it doesn't come close to natalie portmans beautifullness yet it's getting there I think.
Just one thing, those lips are seriously messed up maybe you want to have another go at them.

Heya...

So, this is it. She's finished. Only, I don't mean "finished" as in "now she's perfect and doesn't need anymore work", I mean "finished" as in "get out of my sight, I only wanted this to last a few days, as Wacom practice!" ;)

Anyway, I am NOT satisfied with the background, her belly, and - as "Royal" pointed out: the lips.

Oh well, maybe next time. :)
