ok...well, this is my first contest ever... and it happened to be that there are so many great guys and gals participating... i feel so embarrassing... just forget about this tread and go see the nice sketches and models :)

The race of sea beasts, something like sea dragons, called Aearonheb was created by Melkor in some early ages to prevent elves from visiting Valinor by sea. Most of them was destroyed, but few are still guarding treasures somewhere in the deeps.
They are huge, have a big horn and sharp teeth to destroy ships and eat the survivors. If you wanna call them survivors after all.

That's it. I' m going to work on the sketch some more to define the snout and some other parts better and then start modelling this thing.

Cool, another sea creature
Welcome to the challenge - you are going to have a lot of fun taking part, I can tell you! :D
For a cool idea for the fish, you should have a look at the helmets worn by the Moria orcs in the films - the designers said that the helmets were supposably based on deep sea fishes that the orcs would catch down in the deeps of Moria. The helmets were intented to look like the jaws of the fish. They have a cool, spikey, scary look to them :)

i began to model this thing. Here's the result for today, hope to hear your unvaluable crits. Photoshop stopped working somehow without claiming a war, so i had to edit pics in windows Paint. That's not fun. :hmm:
