To discover the simple thruth around this, do the following:

*Hit "Select By Name" icon or hit the H shortcut
*Uncheck all, check "Helper" category only
*From the list, select the object "Slider01"
*In the modifier tab, uncheck the "Hide" checkbox and change the Y position from 1.0 to 0.9

You will discover that the text is just the title of a simple slider manipulator.

Daniel is always a source of inspiration! :)
(It would be extemely easy to script a Manipulator Helper that only shows a text and nothing more! Will do ASAP)
