Hey everybody! I started creating this character a while ago, and thought I would post it for critique. His name (still pending) is Adam Michael Belenki. The model is for a next-generation first person shooter being created by my self and a few others. This isn't the low poly model (Obviously), and i'm still working on getting correct muscle proportions. Haven't modeled the hands or feet yet (I'm still working on actually learning to create good ones :) )

Hey, very nice sharp bulky style.

The only wierd part I see is the knees, they are a bit small compared to the legs. Either scale the knees bigger or upper leg smalller, I think.

Thanks for the crit! I agree. I feel there is something fishy about the legs... the knees definately have something to do with it. I feel there is more though. I'll continue to tweak, and see if I get anywhere. I'll post an update hopefully tomorrow. :)

wow excellent reference!! I think I'll rework the leg mesh flow to make it look more like that. I'll update in an hour or so.

One thing to also pay close attention to is that muscle isn't smooth... niether are the "cuts"... some of that will be dealt with in your textures, but right now, your muscles are verty smooth and symmetrical.

Some variation will add greatly to the realism.

Hey sorry for the lack of updates. I often get "sidetracked." I uploaded a video of a camera running on a track around the character. I also made many small tweaks around the body. Anyways here's the movie:

@thebest: Hey I tweaked the legs a bit to make them look natural. I'm fairly happy with the upper legs, but the calves just aren't doing it for me. I think from the front they look ok, but the "cut" on the backside looks odd. I also updated the triceps a bit, as well as the pecs.

@DAKevin: I agree. For right now I'm going to keep it smooth. It's just easier to model that way. Once I throw it into ZBrush, I'll throw in the irregularities to make it look more natural. Thanks for the input.

Now I really need to make the hands and feet! I've restarted on the hands, because the ones I made before didn't really look good. These ones are starting ok, and I'm more happy with them. Then I'll create the feet, and start the texturing. Oh and today I realized that I'm not that good at making hands and feet :) Something to work on.

Ok so making hands drives me absolutely crazy! I've started making the hands on this guy. they still need a lot of tweaking, but I think eventually they will make it ok. Here's what I have so far:
