Ok - count me in.
Did you ever ask yourself who carved the caves/mines in Moria? Well - it was the Molaaks. These huge, almost blind, creatures are able to dig through solid rock with ease, to get to their food which is raw metal of all kinds: gold, silver, iron etc. The Molaaks were enslaved by the greedy and evil tribe of the MilingimbyŽs in ancient times and forced to dig tunnels in their quest for silver. To prevent the Molaaks from eating the silver they found their mouths were sewn together with a magical cord. After the Milingimbys had been defeated by the Dwarfs in the Battle of Moria, it was long time believed that the Molaaks had vanished from Middleearth. But they live, small in number, deep within the mountains.

After an hour of modeling it is clear that IŽll have to create some good displacement maps. IŽll make a little test tonight.

Personally I would make the mouths unsewn(?) it's completely up to you though...great concept and great modeling thus far...keep going:thumbsup:

Thanks all for the kind replies!
@ coCoKnight: Good question! TheyŽll starve if the cords still in ... hmm - have to think about that. Thanks.
@Remi: Yeah, have to rethink the sewn/unsewn thing. Thanks for the praise!
@ Erilaz: Hey, my friend - itŽs been a while! IŽll rush out in search of your thread. I donŽt know if I can find the time to finish this one - got loads of work at the time - but IŽll give it a shot!

A, also quick and dirty, enviroment test. I want the scene to be lit by torches. A torch behind the character will be added later.
