CGTalk - Shana- 2d painting

This is my first attempt with a Wacom, using Photoshop. I used a picture of my girlfriend, Shana as reference.

It's far from final, however I would appreciate any feedback. :lightbulb

Can we see the reference pic you're going from hehe...just kidding bud....as i am trying my first time at this I can't really comment what you're doing wrong or right technically but I will say the eyes stick out way too much...maybe tone down the blueness of them and get them to fit in a little more.....the skin tones look to be ok...i'd like to see an update....just to see your progress and then maybe you can help me...:thumbsup:
