Hi I'm a newbie with Messiah, working through Joe Cosman's tutorials. Please be patient with me...It's going well, except for....

I've loaded up some different project files, Joe's "Nate", and the one of the Messiah Content, that have armatures. Every time I try to use an armature control, it only rotates the joint in one direction. For instance, a finger will rotate up, but not back down. Arm will rotate up, but not back down, etc. I know from the video how these were set to operate, but that is not happening when I try to use it. I have the same problem with both files (didn't change anything, just loaded them).

Seems like I must have something set wrong in Messiah? I've checked that the coordinate system is set as it is in the video.

Anyone know what is happening here? I have 2.4d.
Thanks for any help,
NJ

this is just a guess but try going into Edit tab - Drop down box to keyframe editing on top - and make sure that "mouse tracked rotation directions" is disabled.

Yes! Great guess, Stooch. What's that all about anyway....it was enabled by default.

Big Thanks!

That's something that should be noted in the Beginner's Tips above, if it hasn't already. So, it doesn't get buried in this thread. :)
