Hello there,
This is my first attempt to animate a character. I used biped (and physique) because I don't know how to work with bones to be honest.

Let me know what you think of it. I know its not perfect, so I need some advice.

Is biped a good option in the first place? Or should I learn to create a fully customized rig with bones etc?
And where should one put keyframes in a run cycle? I just put some in the timeline until it looked like she was running, but I think there are better ways. I just couldn't find a good tutorial...:sad:

Hi Menesis...

I think if you're new to animating, it's a really good idea to make your own rig...just to know what goes into setting one up, what is possible, etc. But if you're looking to just animate, a biped is the way to go. Although I strongly prefer the ready-made rigs that you can use with CAT (catoolkit.com (http://catoolkit.com/)).

As for actually animating a run cycle...like crutch pointed out, there are tons of tutorials available....but I would suggest simply posing the key frames, the ones where the arms/legs pause in the cycle, and then tweaking from there.
