i am a newbie at 3dmax, just learnt inorganic modelling, texturing maps and bit of lighting, i was trying to create an interogation room...

i know i need more stuff on there but how is the start? :D
looking forward to some useful comments and critiques, thanks :)

Hey! Really nice start. However, I suggest that you also put a hemi light in there that's kinda dim. This is to give the room a little more light so it's visible enough that your audience can see and examine every item in the room, yet you still keep the dark room type. I know that you've done something similar. However, it leaves the part closest to the camera really dark, and some sections of the chairs as well, while leaving the walls furthest from the camera lit. I've created an example(a quick render) to show you how my scene looks with just the walls and the lamp. It consists of a spotlight inside the lamp, and a hemi light above the whole scene. It should look something like so(Please don't mind the grainyness, or the plain bad quality of the render. Keep in mind that it took just a couple of seconds to create as a quick sketch to show you something):
