I'm using xsi on a dual monitor system (windows extended to second monitor). Both monitors run at 1280x1024, and i have experienced no problems like this before. What happens is when i go to maximize XSI (3) in the main monitor, it maximizes the programs to both windows, but keeps all the UI [except the LMR line] in that monitor. Editting the layout will allow me to move items around. What i'd like to have is the program maximized to only the main monitor, but the only way to get even close to this is to ''restore down' the program and move that to the main monitor.

any suggestions?:argh: :insane:

That's the best way. You could also use a single monitor layout too and switch between them. NVIDIA cards have a "maximize to current display" option. I have not used it with XSI, but if you have an NVIDIA card it might be worth a try.

The easiest is still good old Alt-Tab.
