View Full Version : Where the @#$£ did the thumbs go??

Heya, I'm just wondering what happened to the last challenge's thumbnail page. The link to it on the CG Channel frontpage is gone and the thread in Past Challenges has disappeared into oblivion on the second page.

It's a pain in the ass to have to search through all kinds of threads to find the thumbnail link and to the outside world (those that didn't participate but still might have had a look otherwise) there IS no thumbnail page...
How are people supposed vote if they can't find the page?

Wouldn't it be practical with a separate read-only forum for these things instead of having it all mixed together with other posts?

Weird that they put it there.

It doesn't look like people understand that they can vote for as many people as they like, either (not just one).

I think they must be up-loading or up-dating it, must happen sometime...
Maybe due to the many visitors the server cracked...who knows?

Just wait and see....

Somehow I dont think thats what he ment. I did the same thing. I used the link on cgchannels front page and you got thumbs AND a link to the voting page (the ones that you posted). I forgot to vote for landscape and vehicle so I went back to the main page and the link wasn't there anymore.... DOH!! Now it's hard to remember who's who with no thumbs.

I agree with the read only forum idea though. Would be much easier.

Well, I still think a special page or forum for things like Challenge rules, thumbnails, announcements, etc should be created.

And with it having become so popular and all, a direct link to the thumbnail page on the CGC frontpage would be nice too.

Well anyways, kudos to the admins for all their efforts! Much appreciated. It must have been hell to wade through all those posts to get together the pics for the last challenge ;)

hey guys, we had some serious server probs, after plugging the cgcommunity domain, for some odd reason it crashed, Leonard, Jean and I are working on giving the cgchallenges some more breathing space and better organization, so a plug doesn't plummel the servers again ;) remember this challenge thing caught everyone off guard :D

it's all good. i am absolutely AMAZED at the amount of work you guys are doing on these challenges. Not only that, but you had a killer entry too Tito.


The effort is totally appreciated. i wish I could buy you some beers to say thanks :)
