hi, can anyone recommend good reference material for effects? i've got all the old gnomon dynamics dvds but looking for more advanced materials like fluids, advanced particles & dynamics...etc.

If you went throUgh all these "old" Gnomon DVDs, and understood everything, i think you have more than a strong technical ground, as for the art . .. the references are countless. Gnomon has 3 fluid DVDs too. Once you're working and posting here . .. you'r on the right track.

hiya! I am working now, i was a character animator before but have been installed as effects team lead due to my background in computer science. My company did not have an effects team until now so thats why I am asking for reference material to learn from. Thanks for the tip about the gnomon fluid dvds! i think i'll get my company to get the mel for effects dvd.
