View Full Version : WIP Park Bench
RobertoOrtiz 01-12-2003, 01:41 AM As a side job I do real world models for sale.
Nothing fancy, but I love to detail the hell out of them.
They are great exercises and hey I can make me some money out of them.
As an exercise I am going to post the development process for one of them.
Here is a pic of the bench I am building.

Wow thanks guys!
I appreciate your post, since I know this is not as glamorous as a spaceship, monster, or big giant robot.
I am using Lightwave 7.5. The method of modeling is Subdiv surfaces. The trick is to first to the mayor surfaces first, and then do the small details. The details tend to be repetitive, so you create a small "pattern" that you repeat. You can see this on the small “swirly” things
I'll post an update tonight!
Thanks

I am almost done with the model.
I am still doing a ton of cleanup on the model.
I reduced the density of the model also.
Now I have to build the sea for the model.
Again, guys thanks for the comments.

As promised here is the update as of Jan 15, 2003 at 12:35 pm.
I still make to tweak it, and shade it, but I can see the end of the tunnel now.
After this, I have to build the spanish style street lamps. They will be very detailed.
