View Full Version : mime project
Doogie 01-11-2003, 10:21 PM Well, eventually it will be an animation. So far I'm mostly finished with the model. And working on the scenery. As for the scene, I plan to add trash and fix that light behind the lamp. Im looking for suggestions to change the composition and colors/lighting because they will change.

Here's my update for the week.
I worked a lot on blend shapes (or looking for alternative facial controls) and making a rig for my little guy. Today i did a test bind and a post for you all (the bind sucks).
Also, i've been hard at work on composition and lighting. I changed the camera angle to give depth.
c&c is requested (Except for the bind =/)

Ok, most of what I have been doin lately has been rigging and now animating, so its hard to show the progress on a forum.
Monday is a deadline to turn a (mostly) finished product for a critique/grade, so I finished one thorough animation pass, and rigged the face earlier today and have started animating that. After I turn in this milestone I'm going back through and fix all the (bad) animation and adding in the camera moves ive been thinking about. Ill post playblasts here if there is interest, if not look in the animation forum. I plan on posting some there for critique.
I went through the stuff I have animated and took a few snapshots for yall. I know there's some nickeling (like on streetlight, and baret). After I decide where im putting the cameras ill mess with that.
These first pics are before i started w/ the face. the last one is after i rigged the face.
Hopefully this will help generate some response in this rather dead thread.

hehe, cute as a button. I would lov to see some animation, ut even when you make some, im on 56k and stuff. i hate it, it took like 10 seconds to look this page, hehe. Good job on the mime, he needs horns and wings. Only not, HAH, I made a great joke. If you didnt see it. I think he has a lot of character, but perhaps my only problem is that the lighting is pretty drab. Not like... looks dark. I know it's supposed to.. it just seems to be lacking... lightness. I dont even know for sure. And maybe he should move his mouth. As if anyone wouldn't. what a jerk mime.
