One way to do this is to go into the image's Footage Interpretation settings in the Bin, down at the bottom where it reads "Loop"... type in a number like 50 or more and there you go.... your clip is now longer. Tweak the loop number untill you get the length you need.

hi there....instead of creating a new thread I figure that this one is close to what I"m looking for. So here goes.....what about changing a bunch of images into one clip? how do you bring them into AE and then export as a movie file? any help?

In your preferences in After Effects you can change your preferences regarding importing still images. They can be set to a specific length of time or to match the length of your composition.

So just set your settings to what ever you need, 10 secs for instance, then import the stills. Then just lay them in the timeline and add to render que and there's your movie.
