For the past ten years I've done graphics for feature films, but haven't needed to do much 3D work. (When I did, I used Electric Image.) Now I'm moving into other kinds of work that requires more 3D. I bought Cinema 4D, but find it difficult to learn in the sense that I find it unintuitive and don't like the tutorial that came with it. As a result, I'm looking for someone in the L.A. area (Santa Monica) who would be available for some hands-on tutoring. I will pay based on experience. You can contact me (David Watkinson) at mainstreet@earthlink.net.

You some kind of nut?!? buy a book dont go on the internet and pay some weirdo to come to your house. You also could just find a local college and inroll for a couple of classes, for the money it would probally be better than a tutor.

What an idiotic comment. Much better to find someone in your area whose work measures up and pay him to tutor you one on one than wasting money paying exorbitant tuition at some dumbass school where the instructor probably doesn't know his hand from his ass.

David,
If i were in SoCal I probably would run to this school, http://www.gnomon3d.com/

A fairly impressive group of teachers. There are of course a ton of 3d people so it shouldn't be that difficult to find someone. If you are already doing art, then 3d will be easy for you. Good luck.

I think santamonica's approach to the problem is right.

He would like to pay to learn cinema 4d in the fastest possible way and he's looking for teacher, and I don't think it's here because he should pay less the lessons but to save time.

I hope he will find someone accept his work..........
