View Full Version : How do I change NURBS UV direction?

This isn't the first time it's happened, but I've never had the sense to ask about it till now. Okay, here we go:

I've been modeling a few characters now and mostly I use polygons, except for hair, which I usually attack with NURBS. Such is the case now, but a problems come up that happens everytime I work with NURBS. For some reason or another, I'll end up with meshes where the UVs are pointing perpendicular to where I need them, meaning that when I apply a hair texture, the strands will show side to side, when I want them up and down. I know how to fix this on polygons, just open the uv texture editor, but how do I rotate UV coords for NURBS

edit nurbs> reverse surface direction.

you can u or v in the options.

If you are using file texture(normal mode), select "place2dTexture" Open attr.editor . you can find "rotate UV" / rotate 90 (or -90)

good luck

Nurbs have explicity stated UV co-ordinates that cannot be edited - its one of their main limitations. Fix your file texture instead

Not in a polygon uv mapping way, but other smaller ways like chord length vs uniform surface and the fix texture warp option. The solution to this peticular question is answered above by stallion151.
