Title: 1930 Toys Maker Workplace
Name: Sebastien Durand
Country: France
Software: Maya, Photoshop

Her eis an illustration i made for my end year school project, we wanted us to choose an old craft work type with period constraints, i choosed this old french toys maker of 1930, everything was made in 2 weeks from sketches to Compositing.

Unfortunately i couldn't use some powerful renderer like mental ray because the lack of time, but i hope you'll enjoy the "stylisation" of it.

I like it nice render! Only the bricks in the wall look extremely big. was this intended to be?

Good job 3 stars from me

Very nice image and render. No crits, perhaps it would be nice to see something of the toymaker left behind ... his hat, lunch bag, thermos, just something to add a human element to the scene.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers,

David

Thanks for the comments

Andre : yes it was more or less intended, as it's some old craft man house, it was made with this kind of brick...

chalkman : thanx! well the mug with cofee on it is here for this, maybe you didn't put attention to it.. ?

The lighting is really nice even without mentalray. It feels cosy and silent at first i see the image. I like almost every element. Only thing that looks apart from the whole is the unfinished toys on the right side of the table i guess. Good work.

Nice render! I think it works well with Scanline.
I like the mood in this, very quiet. The details are very good - and the limited colors adds to the feel of it.
