View Full Version : Can I use displacement map for character animation?

Hi all masters,



Do you have any experiences to animation a character that has displacement map on them? If I have a character with a displacement map, will it get lots troubles to animate it later on? Hope you have some suggestions for me, thanks

Interesting question actually. I second this request. I've only used displacement maps for stills so far.

of course displacement maps are mostly usefull for animation, because then you can animate a low rez geometry in near real time and the details are only added during rendering ...
The only limitation is render time...
