View Full Version : How to depth of field blur an image in post?

To have more control over the animation, I d'like to know how to render an iff image sequence with depth and use this data to blur the image in After Effects.

Is it possible to do it?

render with z depth channel, use the channel info to apply a blur

Its a mental ray shader that gives you great control of Z-Dpeth information for later using in a compositing app.
