Lo there.
I'm about to finish highschool and have been to the finals in Art now where I showed my main-project for this year.
The idea was to take some random peace of classical music to base a story and a choreography upon, which then got realized through character animation.

Due to a tough deadline, the story came out accordingly and so did the animation, but I did my best for the time being and that should be enough for now.
As I plan on continuing the animation after I have finishing the last finals in highschool, I'll post it here for some C&C if anyone should care - both concerning animation and camerawork

Hope you like it.

Hey,

Nice, i liked it. Shame there wasn't more of an ending though. But like u said, TIME!

I think it goes well with the music.

Good job

that's soo cool! it's got some really nice parts, esp the way the music & animation work together when he tiptoes towards the crystal.

there's only a few moments where his movements don't look 100% right, e.g. when he walks backwards before he reaches the crystal. looks a bit as if he were floating. and his movement stops completely for a moment after he backs away from the crystal the 1st time, that's also a little bit weird.

you could also try to make the crystal a bit heavier; it feels more like a balloon right now.

LOL that would be soo funny if he tries to steal it and then can't lift it

Thanks for the comments guys. Really appreciate it!
Neon.. I will attend to the backward stepping asap, though I try to get the generel movement tuned in first

I have turned the weight-slider on the orb a bit up now, but it's quite a job figuring a suitable motion matching both weight, beat and timing, so before I go any further I would like to see some comments on whether it's ok or not.
For now it's still only blocking of some sort so please only comment on the generel movement.

a little catch up: He's a thief trying to steal the orb so he have to grab it and maneuver it out of the exit which is to the right.
