Ah I didn't think anyone would go the Tarkovsky route. I am glad to see some fellow fans.

who's tarkovsky?
Russian film director with a very distinctive approach to filming (slow pace, emphasis on photography, symbolism). His films are at the very least visual treats (I personally find them stunningly beautiful).
In case you want to check, Stalker is a good choice to start with, as is Solaris. I should warn you though, many Americans find them extremely slow. =p

This is my first time posting here. I've never actually done an image in photoshop before but it was really fun! I spent 20 minutes in photoshop on the first one and 15 minutes on the second one. I can't wait to do some longer ones with color.http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/7996/stalker208fc.jpg

Amazing work people, some really fantastic stuff in 15 minutes! I struggle to find the motivation with such a short timelimit, which is fairly obvious in the final "quality". Anyways - 10 minutes, PS + Tablet

Missed the deadline on this one. Picture it without the rain effect, that's 15. This is 20. Painter and Photoshop.

Vahn, yes you do. ;)

And I like your entries; the first is good for its time (damn, 15' minutes sketching is a real sprint for both hand and brains). I like the colour handling in the second, those cyans are beautifully vibrant. Nice flow and texture, too. Painter, isn't it?

By the way, this wouldn't happen to be Totoro in your avatar, would it? :D

Not really very happy with this, but I think it would take 3 days of work to really get it where I want it.

Daniel, well worth the run-over! What program/medium did you use? Creepy palette. I chickened out and went monochrome. AND...I spent 25 minutes. I am shamed. But happy. (Isn't that an Alanis Morissette song?)
