View Full Version : Gods/Demons - Character - Mechanical_Halo
MechanicalHalo 03-11-2002, 11:31 PM Hey Everyone, looks like the challenge will be great this month- hope to see some killer projects from everyone. Well, with that said I'll be modeling a demon. I'm going to checklist it to save reading time.....ahh, sweet reading time :D
-medium- 3d
-demon, biped,
-a regent of hell, well, of one level, so to say
-considered royalty- wardrobe and/or appearance will reflect this point.

For those who wish to continue to punish their eyes and read on--here is how I decided on the character. I wanted to create a ruler over the damned (that doesn't mean he's mean). Obviously, in hell, terror, strength and fear rules the weak, so I wanted to reflect this in the character and create something a little frightening.

Haven't had much time to touch the model, I'll be able to put in some more time this week. Just whipped up the head- couple of sceen grabs. hopefully next week I'll be putting on the finishing touches and be able to post a render- till then.

I decided to age him as his smile wasn't doing anything for me.

that's a fast render of exactly what is rendering now, just with the subsurf settings bumped up.
Sorry for the lack of updates, but I do have some progress shots to show; I'll post them, if the threads aren't locked. everything was modeled ground up for the challenge,
Well that's it for this guy now.
I still have to tighten up the model, but that'll be later on before I file this pup into storage.
I took some time doing swarm simulations which would have taken some time to adjust the way I wanted it to be. so, that wasn't an option to include that many bugs/critters. while running out of time

a CUof the bug, not too detailed. I was modeling with the intention to multiple them in later on.
