Name: Azeiku
Genre: Sci-Fi Racing
Concept: Hover style racers- In the future, cars no longer are restricted to land, what comes with cars and driving? Racing... This is a vehicle for racing... similar to concepts of pod racing but with a little more protection.

I know I'm a bit late coming in and hopefully I can get this done. I have been working it for a bit but haven't had much time. The front needs to be reworked and the bottom side needs work too. I don't think I'll get to the interior. I need to do texturing but I've never done that before as I'm a complete newb. This is my first attempt at anything remotely close to a car.. so go easy on me. ;) I've made 2 rings and a screwdriver.. that's all my modelling experience so far. lol

Coming in just under 4000 tris.

That looks pretty good, especially if you don't have much modelling experience - I wouldn't have guessed. Here's hoping you can get it textured by the deadline!

Hey, you've still got a day left. It's looking excellent! Do you mean you haven't unwrapped a model before? There are a bunch of tutorial links in the various forums for whatever software you're using.

It shouldn’t be too hard to texture it if you have come this far (maybe a few hours)…
What software are you using. Maybe some of us could help you out.

That would be great if someone could. I'm using Hex 2.1 and unsure of how to paint it. I have unwrapped a couple very simple box models trying to learn but haven't been successful with the painting yet. Do people using create their texture map in photoshop?

What's the time deadline? Midnight?

Here's for hoping!

Ok cool. One of the cool things about Hex 2, is its UV-Mapping module and UV-Unfold… It makes the job of unwrapping, creating, and then applying the UV easier as compared to other software.

Here are a few links to UV tutorials, I will see if I can find some more...

As far as painting in other apps, yes. Photoshop.
Hex 2... Well... This might help. [LINK (http://www.eovia3d.net/showthread.php?t=7535)]

EDIT: woops, when browsing the forums, I see that your already a member there... So those links might not be of much use (already read them)... What exactly are you having problems with?
