i found a cool pg turning tutorial at http://www.maxoncomputer.com/tutorials/Turning_Pages/-but ineed to know how to get multiple pages to interact with each other-to build up correctly as a book would. I cant seem to get pg1 cloth item to interact with pg2 cloth item and so on(up to about 15-20 pgs)...the cloth tags dont seem to have the ability to affect each other. I also have to build each pg like in a open book that curves away from the spine in an inverted U type shape(like a real open book). Then lastly i cant figure out how to delay each page btwn each turn-like maybe 3-4 secs in between.
I know there are other pg turn tuts online(cdcafe for example) but this is the way i want to do it because of the realsitic way the pg looks like paper moving(when the stiffness is up around 50-60%)... alot to ask,but if i can just get 1-2 pgs working, then all i have to do is tweak the mesh and repeat over and over-plz help

P.S. i wonder if theres a mocca solution to this to tell them to have collison detection- ive never used mocca, but have the module

Hi,
make all pages part of the same polygon object and use self collision. Just make sure to use as few polygons for th epages as possible
Cheers

That doesnt seem to work, the second page starts to collapse halfway thru(for what reason i cant tell),besides i need to have each page to delay before turning which i cant seem to figure out as well. if u have some time,d-load that file and tryit with 2 pgs( i also re-anchored both together at the spine and re-selected all points as initial state-connecting them seems to delete the previous settings...annoying)and see what i mean.

What is your self collison set at try upping the subsamples and u can set the eps to 0 without major slowdown of cache - if u want to turn upto 25 pages in one cloth piece it is goin to be tricky but it can be done
Have u tried belting? U could belt the cloth to some geometry like a cube the length of the page - just animate it in an arc (like the turning page) you might have to do separate ones for the separate pages - u can even get away with turning most of the forces down and just use the belt object to drive the pages (fiddle with the arc of the belt object to help give the pages a paper feel )
