View Full Version : Error: Cannot find an available port - whats this?

Hello,
for some reason, I am getting this message when I go to batch render;

Error: Cannot find an available port

can anybody try to explain what this means, and/or how to fix it?

This usually happens when the Windows Firewall or another installed firewall blocks the renderer. Try turning off all your firewalls before you batch render, if that solves it then you can look into the way to allow exceptions for the renderer for that particular firewall.

sorry to jump in on your old conversation... but im having EXACTLY the same problem and i was wondering how exactly do i turn off my firewalls in windows? im newish to computers...
