Hi,

This is a city scape work in process for a Don Quixote based project Im working on. I've being playing with the perspective to try and make the image more interesting, the focus will be the platform on which Don Quixote will be arriving on his mule/space bike. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I intend to eventually work the image up in colour.
Thanks

Tim

Hi!
Not a lot of things to say to help you...for me it's a great start. I really like also the architecture, the platform and the windows...
So, could you show us another step?
bye

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, here's and update with tonights work. The backgrounds got a bit fuzzy, but I think the image as a whole is working a bit better.....still a lot to do though :)

Hi!
It's cool to see this step...
Just a comment: the "road" on the first ground is actually darker than the first step, and the image appears a bit "flat" than before...
I keep in mind that it's a wip.
bye bye

Agreed with Arno, for some reason it looks more dimensional with the foreground footwalk/road lighter -- I can't explain why, it just does.

The addition of the people on the landing pad though looks amazing, nice touch and definately adds a human element -- love that!

Hi,

Thanks to everyone for their comments. I agree about the walkway/road (I don't know what it is yet either) I just finished for tongiht as I read that feedback so I have put in the rough original while I figure out how Im going to make it work. Comparing what I've just done to last nights work I think there is a risk that the image is getting a bit busy. I think I need to study some reference to get the city in the distance right as I dont feel its really working at the moment.
Thanks again for the comments, I know this update isn't that dramatic, but I thought it might be worth posting up the entire process as I go through it. I havn't really done a background like this before so its a big learning curve.

Hi,
Here's an update with tonights work. I've added to the sky and background to try and create more atmosphere. Next I'll finish of the foreground and then Im going to try and add some colour. Hope you like it.
