View Full Version : Lots of problems lately in blender
thondal 06-05-2006, 04:32 PM Hi... almost done with my dragon now, and i'm working with the landscape, but the thing is, if i try to move the dragon to another layer, it reappears in the same layer it was before after I change something to something at all... I tried saving it and exiting and then opening the file again, but the dragon was on the wrong place this time too... same happens when moving the camera... Could it be that blender needs time to read all the data or something and therefore I should wait a few more seconds before doing something? anyone experiencing anything similiar?

maybe all of your layer are on. Or you moved your object to more than one layer at a time (you can do that!)

tried a lot of times now... It's not that... also happens with the camere.. I move it to position, make everything ready and then i render, but the camerea moves back to the place it was before.. i have to set keys to where it is supposed to stay for it to stay there, not too difficult, but a bit of annoying... oh well...guess the dragon just have to stay where it is...

It might be a good idea to check if you didn't accidently insterted a keyframe for all your objects. This fixes them in space, which can be quite annoying... (happened to me once and it took me ages to discover that's what happened)

I agree with Inktvlek, Select your object then see if there is a Layer IPO in the Object IPO window.

Just a guess on my part since I don't know programing. Try using the script with an older version of Blender. Better yet go to the Elysiun Python forum.
The script doesn't find module named interface. Are you sure you have all the bits of Expresso where they should be? I recall it needs some components at the end of your "scripts" path. Check from expresso's installation readme what needs to be where and double-check you have everything where they are supposed to be. Also check your paths settings in Blender.
