sebek27 01-11-2003, 03:49 AM why do I get this weird looking ridges instead of smooth shape, all i do is add points and edge extrude them then add hypernurbs object. see the pic

you need to add a smoothing or phong tag to your object to smooth out the polygons.

acutally while the subject is up, for those that have modeled in nendo wings 3d and mirai, you start typically without phongshading, thugh they all have the ability to turn on phong shading they are not set by default, Since I porefer to see the polygons while modeling I typically turn the phon to 0% and then bost it to 90 when I want to preview it. Its as close as C4D has to nendo and mirai's shaded wirframe mode. plaicing a blinn shader with high specularity also tends to help a bit when modeling
