remember previous component selection

I believe what you are looking for is a Select Set. Here's how to do it, no external scripts needed:

1. Select the faces or verts that you want to be remembered

2. Go to Create => Sets => Quick Select Set...

3. Enter a name for this Select Set

4. From now on, you can go to Edit => Quick Select Sets and choose the name of the Select Set you just created to select those verts, polys, edges, or whatever you put in the Select Set

Someone wrote a script for this that's implemented with the RMB and posted it in the MEL Scripts section. I don't remember the script name or title of the thread, but it's definitely there somewhere!

Yashu Ive got that script .. niiice!
aryzner .. Im not after selection sets. Im after what just about every other 3D program does and thats remember component selections. In Maya if your select something in for instance in faces mode then go to vertices and back to faces, the selections you previously made in faces mode are lost. I want to find a script that will remember the prevoious selections .. very handy for modelling!!
