Wow, He is very nasty looking and he's got some awesome detail, but he reminds me more of a goblinoid type creature with those big ears!

The face is neat. The mesh isn't balanced. Too much detail apparent in the face, where the body doesn't display as much work. The top of the head especially looks flat. The texture is nice. Those are the first things that stick out to me.

art, but the abdomen, ears, forehead and arms need some finessing -- there are several tell-tale zbrush marks that need to be cleaned up. open up your textures and smooth them out in photoshop.

good work so far

Very nice looking design and good work with the outcome. but I do think it could be pushed further, especially with texture

i dunno roberto, I think there are some pieces a bit more deserving of front page in the gallery right now :D :runs and hides in the corner: :D

very very nicely done man. i love the model. the bump texture is kind of weired. it looks like there's bump only in a few place on his body.

Other then that. Cool stuff man

the mesh is awesome (I saw it in zbrushcentral) and his character is really interesting.

As a crit I think that the texture and shader makes him worse!

i liked the design alot,,,and very well detailed....the texture is very good but i think the shader needs more work,,,and Yes,some parts of his body are not bumped enough like other places....

Wow, love the design, coloration and background but the mesh texture details from face to body dont match, you needs some more work there. But still cool!:)

Lovely work. Quite a menacing character.

Gotta aggree with m0og0o on the detail. I also find the blur distracting and not convincing if it's meant to be depth of field or focus blur. The head also seems a bit small.

Really nice work. You should definately smooth the mesh before creating the displament map, or add a few more subdivisions to the body.

Hey man! Congratulations on the Front Page honors! That's really cool that you got that and obviously your model deserves all the attention that it's getting--but hey, you didn't thank me for me comment! What's up with that?! J/k

Actually, when looking at the mesh without the texture, I kinda like it better. The only small crit I have is the collarbone(s) almost seem to low, but I could be mistaken. Also, I might change the texture to something more white/palish blue skin, because the brown skin-combined with the big ears, really makes me think more along the lines of a goblinish or some other type of monster. The only other problem I have with the texture is the pectoral area seems a bit strange.
Overall though, I think it's really superbly done and deserves the Front page honors it recieved on CgTalk and apparently Zbrushcentral as well! Good work, I hope I can be half as good as your are someday!

simply amazing facial expression, also the pose really fits the attitude, i like it!

I think one thing in your textured version is also that your lighting might be a bit too hard in the face maybe? Either that or you kicked up the displacement a bit on the facial detail i am not sure, correct me if im wrong please.

The only thing about the body texture that i would have done differently is that i wouldve grabbed the disp and bump map out of zbrush and painted on top of it and use several differently adjusted layers of it to create the color variance. Don't get me wrong you gotthe variance it's just that it seems not connected to your skin structure (wrinkles etc) atm.

Nonetheless this is great stuff, and the expression on his face alone has inspired me!

Excellent work Alex.
I can remember your thread on Zbrushcentral and Tweak's modeling forum.
It seems to me that you lost a bit of the detail between Zbrush and XSI. Am I right ?

Great stuff anyway ! 5 stars for sure !

I think the size of his ears may be overcompensating for something else?
Small teeth perhaps? How embarassing for a blood-sucking vampire. :)

Really nice. My only critique is that the shader still has a "blinny" look to it. Sorry I cant think of a real good way to describe it. I guess "blinny" looks like rubber. A more oily or diffuse, or a mixture of both, would make the creature look more life like I think.

cheers, on a job well done!

Very nice design and effort.. But, some part of the body (especially chest) look too much plastic, because of the wrong use of bump i think...
I also think that it needs a little bit of touching...
Anyway, i appreciate the effort on anatomy, face and expression:thumbsup:

Congrats
Keep good working :)

That's a really good model but it seems you've spent more time on the face (amazing details and model again) than on the rest of the body. We can see sort of pixelized veins on his torso. You should slightly retouch your texture to get some kind of harmony in you model.
Cheers, reiv.
