View Full Version : How do I draw a "smooth" line on Photoshop?
hklin 06-03-2006, 07:48 PM I am a beginner at photoshop and I can't seem to draw a smooth line. My lines are wiggly and edgy as if i am shaking while i am drawing a line. And i know it has to do with either my wacom set up or hard drive incapability, not my ability to draw a smooth line. :)
I know it may be a simple question, but it will render a great help to me. May someone advice me concerning this matter

- if you mean the curve, you have to use the pen tool.
- you can use circle selection and make stroke then cut it, this is if you want a simple curve
hope it helps :)

With your brush, you can click once to paint a dot, then hold shift and click anywhere else on the document and you will get a perfectly straight line, or you could you the pen tool to make a path and then on the path palette, click the drop down menu and select "stroke path".
Remember, you must be holding shift to get the straight line...
Hope this helped :)

Hello,
so I have three solutions fo you:
- you can use the blurred aerograph tools
- you can draw your line and next, use the water drop tool with 100% of render on the edge of your line
-you can draw your line, and then with a low render (about 20 - 30%) of the "finger" tools (I'm not sure of the translation into english of the tool but it's in the same box as the drop tool) and using it in the sense of your line, on the edge. It'll erase a bit of your line, but it'll make it smooth.
I hope it helps you
see you
