Title: The Fisher
Name: Ursula Vernon
Country: USA
Software: Painter

I have been abusing my brain terribly in preperation for an upcoming con art show, and this is how it retaliates against me. The title should probably have been "Because you made me paint My Little Dinosaurs, you tyrant, so I'm going to do this and not explain any of it, and maybe I'll even write pretentious free verse about it, HA!, and you can't stop me because I control the hands, muahahahahahAHAHAHAHH! -- Love, The Brain" but that was a little unwieldy to fit in the box.

I'd call it an exercise in personal mythology, but that would only be to hide the fact that I have no idea what this is. It's not based on any real creature. My goal, if I had one, was to make it look wrong, but in the right way. Or, er, something. Yeah. Comments are welcome, and if you locate any meaning in this piece, I hope you brought enough for the whole class.

Painter 7, Intuos tablet, kind've a Boulet influence...

Very good work sir. Good colors and i like the lighter outline on the background around the character bringing him out more. Style is kind of like Toni Ditterlizzi, i think thats how you spell it, but anyway, very good work.

Thank you both! (Actually, it'd be ma'am, not sir, but bein' the internet, who cares? *grin*) High praise being compared to diTerlizzi, although I haven't followed his work nearly so much since he went to a flash heavy website, alas...

Cool work, Ursula! I see your everywhere nowadays; Devart, here and loads of other sites, just showing off your work like it's the best thing ever...which it is! I love the critter and I think it's cool that he doesn't look like any particular creature known to mankind--I create critters like that all the time.

I also really love your sense of humour! I always get a kick out of reading your descriptions:thumbsup:

Thank you! Someday, I shall achieve total media saturation! I don't know quite what I'll do with it, mind you, but someday...

Ominous and mythologic -- nicely done. Those human hands are a nice touch, as are the cruel look to the eyes. Amazing texturing, too.
