Hi, I am in the market for a new workstation and I would like some expert advice.. I will be working mainly in After Effects, PremierePro and Photoshop and need to have the capability to input and output HD and SD video. I am a motion graphic designer, but would like to have the ability to connect to a deck in the future if I had to. I have a small budget of $3,500 for the tower and would like to get the most for my money. So far I have been researching BoxxTech, Alienware and Velocity Micro systems, but I am having a hard time determining whether to go with:
- AMD Operton or Intel Xeon (and which ones would work the best for HD NLE and motion graphic design) Duo Core or Two CPU's
- Quadro FX 1500 video pro version w/ breakout or getting a Decklink HD card & a less expensive video card (and wich one, Nvidea or ATI)
Can anyone who works with these programs give me some good advice for a stable, functional system for my budget?
