"Tonight from 8 - 11pm, The Wonderful World of Disney will once more present Toy Story. However, what makes this showing especially special is that included in the three-hour block will be a brand-new documentary of Pixar, in celebration of its 20th anniversary. Directed and produced by Leslie Iwerks, the granddaughter of animation legend Ub Iwerks, the show will reveal how the animation studio arose from humble beginnnigs, becoming the entertainment powerhouse it is today. Meanwhile, George Lucas, Steve Jobs, Roy Disney, John Lasseter, Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Billy Crystal also make appearances in the documentary, providing their thoughts on Pixar."

just watched it, really cool, nothing technical, but nothing wrong either. The renderfarm sequence was really fun with Edna.

You can probably find it on youtube. And I must say cars looks like a beautiful movie, but the subject matter, and some of the characters just really turn me off of this film. I've been a die hard pixar fan since day 1, seen every movie in theatres, and bought every dvd on ship day, but i don't think i'll even bother to see this one. It just really doesn't look like my thing :(

It was nice to see Joe Ranft on there. I had no idea he was the co-director of "Cars".

If your really a die hard fan, you should give them benefit of the doubt. I'm sure the movie will be a blast.

Thanks for the you tube link.

Thanx

It was pretty interesting, but I hoped for a technical documentary, for example about the apps they use,how their renderfarm work etc.

On primetime ABC??? what are you smokin? the general public has absolutely no interest in the behind-the-scenes stuff and nitty-gritty of CG, they just want it to look good and work. I thought this was a pretty good explanation of some stuff, and a good look into Pixar's studio.

I'm bummed that I missed the special on TV. Pixar is just amazing, and I'm really looking forward to Cars!
