From the frozen north come the wolverine riding dwarves and perhaps some half orcs in the background on mastadons. Not sure about that last part yet.

Still trying to finish the 3D demo reel and now need to get the 2D skills up as well. The idea is to fully concept this character for a 3d rig. Also want to learn ZBrush and detail the armor/leather areas. They are still unrefined, as is the axe and skin. I think the background and wolverine are mostly done. All feedback is welcome. If you something off in the basics of color, perspective, anatomy, value, whatever, it will help me out.

Later,
Platz

:scream: Cheers for the "Rollin' Thunder from the Frozen Tundra"!! I love the crouching lean the dwarven rider has to his mounted positioning. It adds a tangible aggressive element to the piece. From a critique standpoint (Non-Artist disclaimer), I would add more feral definition to the facial/head areas of the Dire Wolverine and mix in some tattoo-like matter on the arms & face/head of the Berserker rider. For both the Wolverine's face and the armor of the rider I would suggest some spattering of white to reflect the trampling about in the snow & such. Just my $.02 and I hope it helps? Love the picture on a much more than normal personal level Mr. Platz!
