View Full Version : Please Help!!! Volume Light Mental Ray

Can someone please help me with a tutorial or something to create volume light in mental ray. I use MAYA, and obviously it's not working the same way as you'd create volume light with software render. I'm just not sure what to do.

I want to create an early morning scene in a dusty room, where light rays pierce through the window, can someone PLEASE tell me how to do this in maya mental ray!!!

Thanks for the help, but the your site only has a .MAX file. Like I said, I work in Maya, and MAX won't do anything for me.

So, please, if anyone can tell me how to achieve volume light in Mental Ray....? Using MAYA!!!'

Thanks guys! I got it! it's working. Actually really simple to do. You fill your area with "dust" and connect that to the light. Instead of making the light emit fog like with Software. So simple....
