View Full Version : Hair Lighting Help

Hi, Im lost here, (i bet is something simple) i have troubles lighting the hair in this scene
i dont know if its because the lighting setup or scene scale, i already tried in another scene with similar conditions and no trouble only in this file see the file (v9.6) and youll see what i mean, hope that someone can help http://forums.cgsociety.org/images/icons/icon7.gif

whats you problem with hairlight?
Try Render-options / Effects / Hair / change render to raytrace
Maybe this is what you search ?!
Or add Hair-Light Tags to the lights in your scene !?!

As JackMcRip says the problem is the raytraced shadows, you should read the manual, page 193 regarding Reflection / Refraction / Traced Shadows and the section on the shadows tab starting page 194, as the information there is quite important.

Thanx for your rsponse, the big problem here was the ligths specular was off,http://forums.cgsociety.org/images/icons/icon10.gif turned on and the hair looks with more volumen
