Title: steamtrain2
Name: Ho Sik Nam
Country: USA
Software: After Effects, HDR Shop, Maya, mental ray, Photoshop

I used MAYA 6.5 and mental ray.
It is one of still images in my short animation.
I focused on the early 20C steamtrain image that is not slick but rusty, old, rough etc

the model is good indeed... altough try to give the picture an old touch.. something like a sephia color.. and the train looks a little bit "small" ...

It's a very nice model and all, although I do have to agree that the train looks small scale for some reason. The thing I think you need to work on it the textures. If you want to go rusty and grungy, you can definately go more than you have now. Also, that foreground DOF line is a tad too abrupt I'd say. It also brings focus to the fact that you're ground texture is repeating.
