WTF!?!?

Why are there so few comments?
I think this looks great!!

....I very refreshing change from the "perfect" models we always see posted...(not that there is anything wrong with those :)

Whats this going to be used for?

Fantastic. I don't suppose there's any chance you'd post the .sl? I'm working on a skin shader in VEX and would love to pick through yours.

It would be great if you put a link to a higer resolution image so we can see that scar much more detailed! :D

Tank you for all your comments.
this is a characted of a short i plan to do ,he should be a very stupid and evil guy, the 3rd of 3 brothers.they live in a scary farm .My goal was to make a cahracter that was realist in the look but a bit unrealistic in the concept
For the shader ,unfortunately i do not plan to make it public ,anyway ,it's just aslightly modified orenNayar witha big bunch of layers above:
2 different diffuse models and 3 specular ones .Not all the layers are affected by every light.
I also added a small SSS effect with the templates that i wrote once and are still avayable at
www.deathfall.com
or
www.highend3d.com/renderman/shaders .

Right now i am trying do develop a way to blur a little the shadow boundaries without using soft shadows .
every image renders in about 15 seconds at small res.
Bumps must be a little retouched .
thank you

Stefano

Thats definitely one ugly guy (but fantadtic model!). That skin shader is great too. The shape of the head and the scar definitely add character.

Oh, you're the guy who wrote that shader. It's very nice and I have been using it as a template. Thank you for releasing it. Great work. That's actually what I was most intersted in. For your displacements, are you using painted maps? Or are they generated procedurally? Or did you actually model all that detail?

displacement is a base procedural bump and then i have painted some others above . I also use very small maps (128x128) to guide procedural shaders .
