I have a load of renders of which some of them have been rendered with the wrong naming conventions for my pipeline.
An example.
name.ext.#
or
name#.ext

Is there a program that i can batch out these renders to another convention:
name.#

Many thanks

p.s my native software is Maya and DFusion

If you're using Windows, try a freeware app called Lupas Rename.

What os?

Edit: crap, nevermind, your using DF so you must be using windows.

There is a free one on highend3d.com called seq911. Also there is a really nice one that costs money called "namewiz" you can get links for off download.com.

Thanks buddy ill check out highend now.

What ive been working with is a really cheap and dirty method for the short run/

Texture a image plane with an image sequence and just re render it from maya. Render times are extreamily low but still its not needed.

Thanks

An other way rather than putting the image back through a rasterier is to open the seq. in fcheck - then save animation. it will rewrite these files...

however I use 911.. I came across this thread looking for it again :P
