View Full Version : Render to Texture?

Does Blender have any sort of render-to-texture features? I've been hunting around, and all I can figure is the Texture Baker in 2.41, but I haven't quite figured out how to leverage that either. Basically I'm looking for a way to do a quick lighting setup so I can get a base texture to start painting on. Also maybe a way to render an AO pass to texture. Things like that.

I tried hunting through google for the Texture Baker, but only managed to find a fairly convoluted process for a version before it was incorporated into the Blender distribution.

That script looks incredible. Thanks for the link.

I thought that I could learn Blender with an hour a day of hard studying and playing with tutorials (only been at it a few weeks now, complete many tutes and almost through the wiki manual), but it looks like at this rate I will never catch up with the development of new releases and new scripts. I guess I have to increase my efforts to two hours a day. :)
