well basicly its only a capsule in 3ds max 5 with a self illumination on it and radiosity should i have done it different?

maybe make it red....that should be fine the way you're describing it...i'm not a max user but....radiosity with an object that has luminosity should give off some sort of light....:shrug:

maybe you could put a really small omni light in the led?
