simple aligning question

Dragging your layer from the Bin into the Timeline (not the comp window) will place your object in the centre of the comp -- assuming your object was imported as layer size and not document size.

Thanks m3 but I've sinced moved the layer about in the comp.

How do I re-align the layer back to the centre again?

Select your layer, press 'P', RMB on the numbers, select 'edit Value' set x and y to 50% of composition.
