Ive been playing with Photoshop CS2 menu customization preferences ... niiice!! Just wondering if anyone knows of away of going in and deleteting tools that are never used from the drop down menus.

Generally not a good idea, if you don't want to mess something up in the User Interface. You could hide potions of the interface instead.

You could also delete portions of th UI by altering the scripts found in the alias program folder (lots of studios do this), but that would require a very good understanding of the maya api and scripts that make up the UI. You could very well delete something which will keep maya from running properly.

Im so tempted to go in there and started deleteing tools I never use but your right .. I dont want to screw anything up .. but then again with a healthy supply of backups I could tinker away ... :twisted:

Every script you copy into your user "scripts" folder will override Maya's own version (if you keep the filename equal). This basically means that you should just copy the script from Maya into your own scripts folder, hack away, and when Bad Things start to happen, just trash your own script to get back to sanity.
