Here's the layout:
It's a Maya (7) software render.
Even though I'm four months late I'd love to hear some feedback.

noisty: nice start! Good light setup for a sw render - Are you going to mix the other challenges into this? If so, then you only miss a rabbit-hole (!)

Hi Bob -
I like the lighting set-up. The edge-lit objects near the window really look like they are lit from behind. It has a solid sense of directionality and nice shading moving into the corners.
If the background image could slide to the left it would help a lot, right now the edge of the building lines up perfectly with the center bar. The glass bottle looks like too much diffuse shading, and a chromatic abberration effect on the refraction that isn't working (the funny colored waves.) Check out challenge #4 for some ideas on how that bottle could appear. :deal:
The wood texture on the table looks like it should be a smaller scale, or replaced with a better wood texture. A little reflection on the table or the floor might help liven up the flat-looking surfaces as well. The cabinet texture scale looks good, maybe they could use some more subdivision so the bevelled edges don't look so angular though.
