I think you could improve it by making the body lines smoother and a closer fit with the front bodywork.but its a nice detailed render otherwise.

very nice render! love the color on the car...
The front of the car, the lights, the suspension are really good done.
The central part of the car is not very detailed... I should had add the chairs inside, the handle, and made more door particulars. And maybe you could add a displacement map at the ground...
Good done, very nice render. I like a lot the wheels too.

I reckon the body looks perfect!
having just restored a model very close to this one I can tell you not everything fits how its' meant to, creating gaps and warped panels... so I really think the body shape is spot on.
The seat inside, is it a low cut bench seat that draws even with the body? - could be why it's hard to see.. or is it just not there?
As said above, the wheels/tyres are great.. I love them too.
If I could comment on anything it would be the fact that maybe some more custom features?
A lot of rods have badge like logo's built into the front grills saying things like "Street Rod" etc.
The only other thing I would love to see is some vents/grills cut into the panel that runs along side the engine.. gives it that extra tough look.
Top Stuff, keep going. Can we expect an aniamted rod in teh future?
great stuff.
steven.

Thanks for all the comments. This will help me refine this image.
dEDa, the car I referenced did not have any door handle, most hotord don't. But I do agree that the body is plain. Maybe adding some body lines would break up the straight line of the car. Also did the ground seem flat to you, because there is a bump map.
Bounce, the seats are low cut bench, and I should have the inside of the car done soon.

the car looks ok, maybe a little plain like the others said, but if you had used displacement the whole render would be more realistic, because a bump map doesn't change your geometry, it's adds a 'fake' height to your ground all it does is change the texture, not the ground model..

Oh yes now I understand abouth the handles. But I agree with Jelmer about the bump map. A displacement map should work more and more better. Good work,
