Dmitry 01-10-2003, 05:29 PM guys how to get hdri to show in a 3d view to know its location and direction of light?? I tried loading thru viewport bg, but it stays stationary...and hdri doesnt show on the shpere..so how do yoiu do that>?

it wont appear, the only way to go is to make a low range copy of your hdri file, then map it to your sphere as you wan't it, and jsut before pushing the render button switch the file with the high range one.

there is a free program called hdrview that will let you save a .bmp from a .hdr that you could use for placement and then swap in the .map file when you are ready to render.
